Alton E Barger

Alton E Barger, 91, Elk City, Ok and former Hobart resident. He was born December 14th, 1921 in Lone Wolf, Ok to Barlow and Ollie (Brandon) Barger. He passed away April 10th, 2013 in Elk City, Ok. Alton served with the US Army during World War II. He owned a carpet store and lived most of his adult life in Hobart moving to Elk City 30 years ago. Alton married Faye Clallahan on July 4, 1945 in Cold Springs Ok. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hobart.

Survivors include his wife, Faye of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Heath, one brother Gene Barger, two sisters, Helen Gold and Lorene Hutchson.

Officiating: Rev. Alvin Funkhouser
Burial will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart,OK.


The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday April 12, 2013.
