Alta Sue Mayfield

Alta Sue Mayfield, 79, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on November 9th, 2022. She was born on October 7th, 1943 in Sayre, Oklahoma to William and Eutha (West) Simmons. In 1960, Sue graduated from Hughson High School in Hughson, California. She met and married Earnest Eugene (Sonny) Lewis in 1962, they had 2 sons and lived in Northern California until Sonny's passing on August 1, 1980. Sue moved back to Hobart, where she ran a very successful daycare for over 15 years. She loved her babies so much. Sue met and married Logan Claude Mayfield on October 21, 1988. She was a long time member of The Calvary Life Assembly of God in Hobart, Oklahoma. Sue loved her church family as much as her own family and was a devoted mom, grandma, and great grandma, she was the family rock. Sue will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her Husbands: Earnest (Sonny) Lewis and Logan Claude Mayfield, Parents: William and Eutha Simmons, Son: Larry Lewis, Sisters:Regina Simmons and Lafawn Simmons , and Brother: Charnel Simmons.
