Alma Lillie Mace

Alma Lillie Mace passed from this life Monday, April, 30, 2012, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be Friday, May 4, 11:00 a.m., at the Primitive Baptist Church, Highway 115 North, Mt. View, OK Elder Glenn Rooker and Elder Norman Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be David Mace, Roy Lee Mace, Mace Tawney, Matthew West, Derek West, and Jeff Qualkenbush. Alma was born February 2, 1921, in Oklahoma City, OK to Roscoe Cleveland and Lillie M.(George) Pfrimmer. She had two siblings, Edna C. Dunham and Roscoe W. Pfrimmer, Jones, OK. She was a member of the Capitol Hills Highland Missionary Baptist Church. Alma attended Capitol Hill Schools in Oklahoma City and married Vere M. "Tood" Mace, February 6, 1937. To this union were born three children, John E. Mace, Mt. View, OK; Norma Lynne, and husband Monte Paschall, Ardmore, OK; and Nancy K. West. She was proceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Nancy, and her sister. Grandchildren include David and wife, Nancy Mace, Mt. View, OK; Nancy and husband, Jeff Qualkenbush, Elgin, OK; Mace and wife, Amy Tawney, Lantana, TX: Roy Lee Mace, Miles, TX; Dr. Matthew West and friend, Anna Smith, Sulphur, OK; Derek and wife, Bessie West, Randlett, OK; Shawn and wife, Carrie Paschall, Ft. Worth, TX; and Jim Paschall, Bethany, Oklahoma. She is survived by great grandchildren Sterling and Spencer Qualkenbush, Tierra Mace, Kaci West, Noah and Zachary Tawney, Collin West, and Gavin and Emily Paschall.Alma was a talented homemaker. Needlework, sewing, china painting, and oil painting were all expressions of her talent. She was an accomplished cook, known for her ability to decorate the most elaborate and delicious cakes. Travel was an enjoyment as she toured Norway, Russia, Alaska, Europe, plus many states in the United States. She was known as that, "special and loving" aunt and will be missed by many. Alma moved to Ardmore where she lived at The Lodge in Ardmore Village the last two years of her life. She played Skip-Bo and loved the many friends she made while living there. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Green Valley Cemetery, Rt. 2 Box 212, Mt. View, OK 73062 or to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C Street, Ardmore, OK 73401.

Interment will be at Green Valley Cemetery, south of Mt View under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View, OK.
