Alma Shinn Berglof

Alma Shinn Berglof passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in the city of Seattle on December 20, 2011, due to natural causes. Alma was in her home, with her daughter Cindy Sleighter and son-in-law Kenny Spiker at her side. Alma was born on February 24th, 1916 in Carnegie, OK. Her parents were John and Ora Shinn. She was raised in a little house on Cedar Creek and she never forgot her home. Alma moved to California and raised her family with her husband Orville Berglof, who passed away in 1984. Aside from raising five children, Alma was also as FDA Food Inspector and a wonderful artist. Alma was survived by her siblings Margaret Steinman and William Shinn, her children Larry Berglof, Sharron Oberg, Ronald Berglof, Randolph Berglof, and Cynthia Sleighter, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as all the special people that became her family along the way. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A celebration of life gathering is planned for Friday, June 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Creek next to the old family homestead, and a grave side memorial will be held at
10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 23rd at the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK.
