On September 12, 2019, Alice Jay, loving mother, sister, niece, aunty, and Kakoo was welcomed to her heavenly home. She was born to Elmer F. Jay Sr. and Leatrice Jay on August 24, 1962. She grew up and graduated high school in Fort Cobb, OK. After high school, she went on to become a Certified Nurse's Assistant and lived in Claremore, OK. She moved back to Anadarko where she made her home on Virginia Street.
Alice worked at Wal-Mart and moved on to the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma Vocational Rehabilitation Receptionist. She loved working at the Voc-Rehab and helping people. When Alice was not working she loved traveling to Pow-Wows with her sidekick Elias Lee and her best friends Larue Guoladdle and Missy Blackeagle. She was very well known for her abundant hospitality and her amazing frybread. Alice was a member of the Apache Service Club, Apache Blackfoot Society, Victory Club, Comanche Indian Veterans Association, Kiowa Native American Church, and Apache Native American Church.
Alice was welcomed home in Heaven by her mother Leatrice Jay, her father Elmer F. Jay Sr., her brothers John Jay, Elmer Jay Jr, Bobby Jay, Donald Jay, sisters Mary Ruth, Patty Mae Cisco. Grandparents Claude and Mae Jay Nesahkluah. Aunts Virgina Jones, Mary Hawkins. Many family members and friends were also there to welcome her home. Alice is survived by her daughter Donna Jay-Bussell and husband Brandon of Mustang, OK. Son LaForce Gene Bearbow Jr. and wife Jaquela of Dickinson, ND. Her baby Elias Lee Vasquez of the home and her four-legged baby Doygie of the home. A special niece Halana Jay, and special nephew Darrin Cisco. Sisters Carol Jay her companion Charlie Nelson, Sandy Jay and her companion Anthony Hainta, Lottie Jay and her companion Matthew Watkins. Her grandchildren Jayden, Steven, Kody, Kyle, Kaydence, Landon, Elias, Laforce III, Jay Wolf, Leeboy, Jadyn, Jachana and numerous nieces and nephews. Aunts Elvina Poolaw, Lavera Birdshead, Melvin Mithlo, Biscuit Mithlo, Harry Mithlo, and Kenneth Chasenah, and extended family from Mescalero, NM. Her high school best friends Lynn Payne Gouge, Sheri Snake Perez, and Jo Ann Pound Meeks. Alice's kind heart and generosity will live on through all the lives she touched and all the memories we hold.
