Alfred Ray Kopepassah

July 23, 1959 — February 2, 2018

Alfred Ray Kopepassah, 58, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 with his loved ones by his side. He was born to Alfred H. Kopepassah and Aileen Marie Tanequodle Kopepassah on July 23, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a member of the JROTC at MacArthur High School until he dropped out to join the US Navy. After joining the Navy, he went on to get his GED. Alfred spent 14 years in the Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1990. He met and married Michelle Douglas on January 29, 1994 in San Diego, California and had two children. In 1999, Alfred moved back to Oklahoma with his family and found employment at the Lawton Indian Hospital, where he worked until his passing. He loved to laugh and spend time with his family. Alfred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sister: Clarice Kopepassah Trujillo


preceded in death: his parents, infant brother and sister: Aaron Kopepassah, Vera Kopepassah; paternal grandparents: Moses Kopepassah and Sophie Bertha Akoneto; maternal grandparents: Carleton Tanequodle and Mary Domebo; uncles: Lelbert Kopepassah Sr, Raymond Kopepassah, Lance Kopepassah, Paul Tanequodle, Nelson Tanequodle, and sister Diane Kopepassah Lowe; aunts: Leona Kopepassah Kent, Myrtle Tanequodle Brown.
