Alfred Eugene "Slug" Haumpy Sr., 83, passed away February 10, 2024 at his home in Carnegie, OK. He was born in Carnegie, OK to Dorothy Whitefox Kodaseet and Gregory Haumpy on November 20, 1940.
Slug graduated from Carnegie in 1958 and received his Associates Degree from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS. He then moved to Dallas working as an accountant before moving to OKC. He later moved to Carnegie making it home. Slug worked for the Kiowa Tribe and was the Director of Social Services before retiring. He was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe. For a brief time during his retirement he ran Dietrich Memorial Golf Course in Anadarko, OK.
Slug was preceded in death by his: parents Dorothy and Gregory,
2 daughters Jana and Misti Haumpy, 2 sisters, Carol Kauley and Georgina Starr, and brothers Leroy Haumpy and William Kodaseet.
He is survived by siblings Marilyn Collins of Anadarko, OK
Brenda Turner & Greg of Phoenix, AZ.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
