Alfred Myers Bert

Alfred Myers Bert of Fort Cobb was born Feb. 21, 1975, in Lawton to Charles Bert Whitefox and Catherine "Tweet" Kionute, and passed away Feb. 2, 2023, in Carnegie at the age of 47.

He was an enrolled member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma and of Kiowa descent.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal
grandparents, Joe Bert and Gertrude Whitefox, and maternal grandparents, Vermona Collins and Lyman Lee Kionute Sr.; an uncle, Algernon Kionute; an aunt, Francis Klinekole Kionute, and two brothers, Roderick Jake Bert and Joseph Albin Bert.

Survivors include his wife Ruthie Wetselline Bert of the home; his grandfather, Harvey Collins of Gracemont; his step-mother, Elaine Doyeto of Anadarko; Three uncles, Lyman Lee Kionute Jr., and Laverna of Wewoka, Leonard Kionute and La Donna of Binger, and Ronnie Williams, of OKC; Six aunts, Carol Bertof Anadarko, Samaria Hastings of West Siloam Springs, Roberta Johnson Keahbone of Anadarko, Evelyn G. Kionute of Lawton, Mildred Kionute Prentiss and Stewart of Fort Cobb, and Dana Kionute Tselee and Dennis of Anadarko, and special auntie, Billie Kionute of Weatherford; three brothers, Nolan Bert and Lula of Gracemont, and Terrence Doyeto and Kevin Toppah, both of Anadarko; four sisters, Karene Doyeto of Anadarko, Allyson Doyeto and Kristen Doyeto, both of Chickasha, and Martha Doyeto of Anadarko; three daughters, Katherine Bert of Florida, and Jocelyn Bert, and Soila Navarrete and companion Michael Miller, all of Anadarko; three sons, Roderick Bert of Florida, Alfred Tartsah of Anadarko, and Bradley Ware and Hollie of Browning, Mont; two special nieces, Donna Bert and Daejah Bert, both of Anadarko; four grandsons, Camden, Brandon, Baby Brad and Karson; six granddaughters, Kiara, Kayli, Kassi, Isabella, Emmariah and Zaylee, and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, KCA Tribes and the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Butler, Timothy Butler, Stanley Butler, Dale Williams, Alan Tawkoty, Brian Brewster and Ricky Cooper.

Honorary Pallbearers are the All Nighters softball team, Jay "Sister" Cooper, Henry Pewo and Jeff Mandrell.

Officiating is Pastor Thomas Worcester and Lay Minister Leonard Kionute officiating
