Alan Gene Dyer passed away Monday December 31, 2018 at the Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital, Carnegie, Oklahoma. Alan was born October 31, 1937 to Leavie and Eula Dyer in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He attended school in Carnegie, Oklahoma where he was a member of the FFA and the Carnegie Livestock judging team that placed second in the nation. After graduating with the Class of 1955 he attended Oklahoma State University where he was a proud member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. After three years at OSU, he was drafted and served in the United States Army.

Alan worked for South Carolina Hereford Cattle Ranch, served as Caddo Deputy County Assessor and Caddo County Commissioner, and also raised livestock and farmed his entire life. Some of his proudest accomplishments included team roping with his friends and being an officer and lifetime member of the Carnegie Round-Up Club where he started the kid night program to share his love of rodeo with future generations. He shared his love of horses with his grandchildren and drove countless hours hauling them to rodeos across Oklahoma.

Alan married Carol Ann Tullis May 15, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Chris Elaine Dyer, siblings, Alma Griffith, Cleo Blaylock, Billy Dyer, Glen Dyer, and Carol's son Todd Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann, of the home, daughter, Patty Dyer, Forney, Texas, brother Bobby Dyer & wife Colleen, Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma, and Carol's daughter, Toni LeDonne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grandchildren Jackson LeDonne & wife Rebecca, Brady LeDonne & Dani LeDonne, all of Oklahoma City, Stevie & Will Rowe, Salt Lake City, Utah, and four great-grandchildren, Aiden LeDonne, Cohen, June, & Olivia Rowe along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
